Pre-Paint Pressure Wash at Shoreline Self Storage

Paint is only as good as the surface underneath it. That's something a lot of people overlook - they focus on the color or the finish, but if the surface isn't properly cleaned first, even the best paint won't stick the way it should. It'll peel, bubble, and chalk out way faster than it's supposed to.

We were out at Shoreline Self Storage getting the exterior brick walls cleaned up and prepped ahead of a fresh paint job. The building had the kind of buildup you'd expect on a commercial exterior - dirt, grime, old chalky paint residue - the stuff that absolutely has to come off before any new finish goes down.

A proper prep wash does two things. First, it gives the paint something clean to bond to. Second, it helps the new finish hold up longer against the elements. Skip this step and you're shortcutting the whole job. We're not interested in doing that.

Shoreline is also getting a mural added to the building, so keep an eye out for that. It's going to be a big upgrade to how the property looks from the road. We're glad we could play a part in getting it ready.

This is the kind of work that doesn't always get a lot of attention, but it matters. Good prep is what separates a paint job that lasts from one that starts failing in a couple of seasons. We take that seriously on every commercial job we touch.
